Attendance Policy
String players are allowed to miss two rehearsals per concert cycle but not the dress rehearsal. Please alert your stand partner and section leader if you will be absent.
For winds and brass, all players who will need to miss a rehearsal must let BSO personnel manager Jenn Forese know by Saturday afternoon, 2pm, the latest.
Jenn will bring in those who have sent emails and videos so they can have a chance to sit in the ensemble when a sub is needed, for the time being
If a wind/brass player requires a sub, they are to check with Jenn first to see if there is a prospective player who is available to sub before getting their own player.
Jenn must also be alerted if players will be late to a rehearsal so she can let the conductor know.
If a wind or brass player who must miss a rehearsal is unable to inform Jenn in a timely fashion thrice, they will be asked to sit out for the next concert cycle.
It is imperative that all players attend the dress rehearsal.
All core winds/brass players (the "regulars”) are expected to pay their dues.
Jenn will organize the attendance weekly via spreadsheet/Google form to which the Board and section leaders can have access.
String section leaders can take attendance and Jenn will sort through it the next day.
Players who are frequently absent will be asked to return to us when their schedule is a bit more accommodating.
